Clean Up Day....quite a tradition!
Another successful clean up day, this year I had a bright yellow vest, a 'claw like' litter picker and what felt like welders gloves to help me with the volunteer work, though a few more people would have been just as handy.....it feels good to get out and do something, even for 1/2 hour.........surely the telly was not that interesting folks??

So there we were...the few!....the band of brothers!...the cleaners!...the workers!....the mugs?  No, I don't think so..OK, it was not my litter, but it was also not my estate I helped clean....who cares anymore? Answers on a postcard and dropped through everyones' letterbox please! That way we all get to hear about it ;-)

Enough ranting, have you seen the size of the road in front of ASDA?....I think they are joining it up with the Kingston bridge!!  It keeps getting bigger and bigger...I wonder if someone important will come and open it, red ribbon style.  How about el Presidenti Salmond? it could be his first major road opening and sooooo close to the Wallace Memorial...gotta be good publicity!  (whoops, politics does not belong here!)

Maybe we will get someone everyone knows, a celebrity...someone famous's brother....Celeb status thrust upon them on a slow news week and a bad hair day!  Wikipedia says that a celebrity has to have piqued a level of public interest in them....so that's that...we are booking the wee bloke that scoots around the estates on his mini motorbike....who is he? where does he live? where does he go to? how do the police never arrive in time to catch him in the act?....Public enemy, numero uno......Be there at the opening, bring your camera and I will supply the rotten tomatoes!
