We shorten things...blog = weblog in real life.  Mobile phones use text speak because we are all 2 bsy.  We watch TV 'on demand' so as we can ff the adverts (note the wee shortcut!) and our computers at home are full of programs that cut out the typing required and speed up our browsing. 

Now, I am not complaining - far from it...I like the fact that we don't have to live our lives at anothers pace.....but I am not so keen when the pace of work and the pace of home life seem to merge.  I am a great believer in Robroyston as a sanctuary from the pace of our work lives and a place that we can wind down and enjoy!

Community involvement is one way to enjoy Robroyston more...and it takes your mind off work!  The Annual Clean Up day is coming up on the 6th June and affords us a day where we can take a bit of pride in Robroyston and enjoy a day away from the shortcuts in life....year on year the same few folk don gloves and fill bin bags with rubbish they did not drop and year on year they feel a sense of pride in a good job done....sometimes a bit of effort can make things more worthwhile...how about joining in?..... or are you too busy, couldn't possibly find the time, hectic schedule, etc.?
