bus_cartoon_large.jpg  Number 12 Bus Service.

Robroyston Community Council has been contacted by First Glasgow
to inform us of forthcoming changes and enhancements
to the bus service for local residents.

The bus company confirm that the number 12 bus will cease to serve Robroyston
on August 14th 2011, terminating instead at the Eastern end of Wallacewell Road;
they go on to state that this is due to poor usage.

However, on the same date a new service will be introduced called the X81,
this will serve Auchinairn/Woodhill and Robroyston (including the Glendale estate).
The X81 will then run as an express service into Buchanan Bus Station running
every half hour Mondays to Saturdays.

Service 11 will remain unchanged.

Robroyston Community Council believes this enhanced service has been influenced by the
close working relationship formed between Robroyston residents and First Glasgow.

introduction of

HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

McInally Associates (Stewart Milne agents) held two open evenings

in Robroyston Church to show the plans for the new development to local residents.

an unmanned exhibition was also displayed in Barmulloch Library.

The community council encouraged residents to come along on the night, have a cup of tea

and a chat about the long term plans for the area.

Some of you may have missed this opportunity so the Community Council is going to host the poster

and questionnaire for a while longer to allow access to as many residents as possible.

The questionnaire and event poster can be downloaded by clicking here
